TIRANA, June 23 /ATA/ Albania’s prosecutors are on the front line in the fight against corruption, organized crime, money laundering, and narco-trafficking. The U.S. Embassy supports their efforts to advance justice reform, fortify the rule of law and further strengthen democratic institutions.
According to the US embassy, this week, International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs program (INL) Director Ben Rockwell and Resident Legal Advisor Michelle Lakomy discussed U.S. support with General Prosecutor Olsian Çela. The Embassy signed over equipment in support of the General Prosecutor’s Office investigative capacity and achieve these goals essential for Albania’s progress toward full European integration.
