PRISTINA, June 15/ATA/- The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Joseph Borrell stated that the dialogue between the representatives of Kosovo and Serbia will not be easy, but should continue.
In a statement to the media, before the meeting today in Brussels between the Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti and the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, mediated by the European Union, Borrell said that the dialogue should continue without delay and should produce clear results.
He encouraged the two sides to continue their engagement in this process.
“Today, in cooperation with the EU High Representative, Miroslav Lajcak, we will hold a high-level meeting between Pristina and Belgrade. I know that dialogue will not be easy, but this process with the commitment of both parties is necessary for the good of the people in Kosovo and Serbia. Let us make it clear that dialogue is best for the European future of the two countries. I will take only one example: the integration of the Kosovo Police and the justice system in the North in the Kosovo system, as well as membership and participation in regional and international organizations and initiatives,” he said.
According to Borrell, this is a new moment for dialogue, so it should be used.
