TIRANA, May 29/ATA/ Investments in agriculture are increasing day by day creating a modern infrastructure, which serves best every farmer in the Divjaka area and beyond.
The Albania’s Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Milva Ekonomi visited on Saturday one of the sapling farms in Divjaka.
“Alba Agro” enterprise owned by Gjeka brothers who are expanding their activity using the latest technology. Investments in agriculture are increasing day by day creating a modern infrastructure which serves best every farmer in the Divjaka area and beyond,”Ekonomi said.
The agricultural sector is among the sectors with the largest contribution to Gross Domestic Product, about 20%. In 2013 about 125 thousand ha of land were cultivated, while today 250 thousand ha of land are cultivated.
Agricultural exports increased from about $ 100 million to $ 400 million, while it is projected to reach over $ 1 billion in the next four years.//a.i/
