TIRANA, May 27 /ATA/ – Air freight volumes carried out by airlines rose twice as much compared to the same period of 2020, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INSTAT).
In April 2021, the volume of freights transported by air is 161 tonnes, increasing 2 times compared to April 2020. Compared with monthly average for April period 2018-2020, the volume of freight transported by air increased by 4.9 %.
In the first four months of 2021, the volume of freights transported by air is 610 tonnes, increasing by 3.2 % compared to the first four months of year 2020.
Statistics show that number of flights was 1,204 increasing 7.9 times higher compared to April 2020. Compared with monthly average for April period 2018-2020, the number of flights decreased by 16.4 %.
