TIRANA, May 10/ATA/ Inflation, which measures the annual change in the price of goods, is estimated at 1.9% during April, while the target of the Bank of Albania is 3%.
Referring to INSTAT, this is the highest level recorded since October.
The monthly change of the consumer price index in April 2021, compared to March 2021 is 0.2%.
According to INSTAT data, compared to April 2020, the largest increase in prices is observed in the group “food and non-alcoholic beverages” by 4.5%, followed by the groups “communication” by 3.6%, alcoholic beverages and tobacco by 1.7%,” entertainment and culture “by 1.3%,” hotels, cafes and restaurants “by 1% and” clothing and footwear “by 0.4%.
Within the food group, the prices of the subgroup “vegetables including potatoes” increased by 10.2%, followed by the subgroups “oils and fats” by 4.6%, “fruit” by 4.4%, “fish” by 2.5 %, “Milk, cheese and eggs” by 1.9%, “bread and cereals” with 1.8%, “meat” by 1.2%, etc. /a.a/p.s./
