Support for business through financial instruments and development programs

TIRANA, May 8 /ATA/ The government will continue to support businesses through the financial instruments, but also through the capacity building programs.

This is what Minister of Finance and Economy, Anila Denaj, said while citing the example of Lindita, who chose rosemary to turn her idea into a business.

As the winner of the Idea project supported by GIZ and MoFE, she has received financial support and honed her management skills.

The IDEA project aims to drive entrepreneurship and innovation development by training new or existing SME owners to expand their businesses, unlock business potential and be competitive in the domestic and global market.

From 2016 to 2020, the IDEA project trained about 1,500 young entrepreneurs and contributed to the creation of 350 new businesses. It has also empowered 300 existing businesses, stimulated the creation of 500 new jobs, while 130 businesses have benefited from the IDEA grant scheme.

Lindita emphasizes that it is not easy to start this business as you have to access certified seedlings, organic soil and the market for them.

Lindita says that the training at IDEA has been one of the most successful trainings.
Currently, she stressed, in the cultivation of rosemary we have employed three women, adding that with the expansion of the area will increase the number of employees.
