TIRANA, April 23 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama said Friday that the President of the Republic is inciting violence as he has abandoned his apolitical role by involving in the election campaign and called on voters in the city of Vlora to vote the ruling Socialist Party in order to help President go home.
“I guess you watch Like (President Ilir Meta) and he adopted a softer tone earlier today. He was talking about democracy celebrations today, forgetting axes, hatchets, pitchforks and threats and behaved prudently today. I have told him to give up alcohol drinking. Heed your daughter’s advice and go home and Vlora will help you find way back home. You would see that all those brandishing guns, axes and pitchforks today will become rabbits on Monday,” PM Rama said as he addressed the closing election campaign in Vlora.
“No enemies would hurt Albania as much as the President of the Republic is hurting the country today,” he said.
