TIRANA, April 23/ATA/- PM Edi Rama, in a televised interview, stated that Ilir Meta is a national disgrace and April 25 is the race between two worlds, that of the projects to carry Albania forward and the million euro convoy yelling “Rama go.”
Regarding the question why he believes Albanians will trust him in April 25 election, Rama said wait for April 25 to see the trust that Albanians will put in me. The situation is getting tense just because they want the government to appropriate the assets of Albania. On April 25, the decision that Albanians will make will be about the character of the force they want to navigate the country through all this. There are 1001 reasons why we say time and again in discussions, I do not want you to become like SP, I want the SP to become like you. This comes down to the fact that Albanians are cognizant that we do not come from a period of vacations or a normal governance. We come from a time of war which is far from over, right now we are getting to the end of the pandemic tunnel. We have been grappling with the impact of earthquake and pandemics for so long and of course we have reasons to say why some things were not delivered, yet the decision is that discontent compels us to move ahead with things that have not been fixed yet. I think April 25 is a historic moment to reach the peak I have seen in my dreams with my eyes wide open. It is up to Albanians to decide.”
