TIRANA, April 21 /ATA/- By Maela Marini/ “Ilir Meta is the one who cannot restrain himself in this story, he is a mobile disaster that moves up and down in Albania and appears on the screens of Albanians as a bugbear to undermine this process at all costs,” Prime Minister Edi Rama said in a televised interview where he also commented on the statement of the US ambassador, Yuri Kim, who calls on Meta, Rama and Basha to show self- restraint.
“In fact, I do not want to make light of Lulzim Basha’s position, but in this aspect except for the hallucinatory remarks of Gazment Bardhi who has a great responsibility for the words he uttered and the gruesome act of delivering speeches 2 meters from the corpse, Lulzim Basha has not shown lack of restraint,” Rama said.
He stressed that “Ilir Meta is the one who cannot restrain himself in this story, a disaster that moves up and down Albania and appears on the screens of Albanians like a bugbear to undermine this process at all costs, which is a celebration of democracy despite the debates of parties. This is a celebration of democracy, not an opportunity to kill people,” Rama said.
Regarding the statement of Meta from Shkodra that he will cut the fingers of those caught stealing votes, Rama said that, “ it reminds me of an expression of Astrit Patozi who once said : When Ilir Meta speaks about electoral fraud is tantamount to believing that ISIS will preach the war on terror.”
