TIRANA, April 21 /ATA/ –By I. Vata/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama reiterated Wednesday he would really welcome post-election cooperation with the opposition, although the ruling Socialist Party will be the sole winner in the Sunday’s parliamentary elections.
The Premier stated in a TV interview that he is ready to reach out to the opposition and build a more peaceful political climate in the country.
“What I am saying doesn’t rule out cooperation, which is not a matter of whether I like it or not, it is not a matter of pragmatist need, because we will win elections alone. SP will secure the absolute majority on April 25, as we will win 74 to 78 seats in the next parliament, no matter whether Lulzim Basha, Ilir Meta and Sali Berisha like it or not. The question is what we will do to reduce this scandalous consumption of energies, eliminate conflict and political divisions,” he said.
