TIRANA, April 15/ATA/ The Chairman of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha spoke today in a television studio about the projects of the time when he represented Elbasan in the Parliament.
“As an MP of Elbasan, I was aware of a request of the residents to do the utmost for the Tirana-Elbasan highway, while another Baldushk-Papër road was designed. Prime Minister Berisha told me on one occasion: Once we have finished Kalimashi tunnel, we must reconsider that this other option may be more affordable. I told him we have all the possibilities to do the other one, but this will help us much more in the economic sense, it is part of “Corridor 8”, said Basha.
“A year of lobbying resulted in a very soft loan. Abu Dhabi in this case has helped for this work with the loan we received for the Tirana River and the new Boulevard, it is a work designed with international competition. With this project, I addressed the Abu Dhabi Fund, which really gives soft loans, and we managed to finance the new Boulevard of Tirana and the Tirana River “, continued Basha.
Regarding the slides in the tunnel of the Elbasan road, as there was no geological study, Basha called them lies.
“They are lies, games that they have made to hide the robbery they have done for years with every public project. How is it possible that in 8 years Tirana-Elbasan and Nation’s Road are built while for 8 years in a row they were not able to finish Tirana Ring Road.
