Basha pledges training programs at European universities for young people

TIRANA, April 13 /ATA/ – Main opposition Democratic Party chair Lulzim Basha pledged Tuesday that Albanian young people will be provided the opportunity to attend training programs on 20 various occupations at European universities should his party wins the April 25 parliamentary elections.

DP leader said at a meeting with youth activists in Kavaje that a government headed by him after the general elections would largely focus on addressing issues concerning youth education and employment.

Basha explained his party’s electoral program on youth and the economy in general, saying the country’s European integration and restoring hope among young people to build their future in Albania were key to the economic recovery.

“Youth is my daily motive. European Union integration and economy are top priorities in our program, he said, adding that he had described his mission in a book he has written recently.

“The country needs an economic reawakening. Second, EU integration and all these I mentioned are closely interconnected. You all know we can’t guarantee that economy would grow if country doesn’t become an EU member,” he added.
