AKSHI reacts to DP accusations: Unfounded, we do not store or process data

TIRANA, April 11 /ATA/- The National Agency for Information Society (AKSHI) has reacted to the Democratic Party allegations, who claimed that the e-Albania database has been used by Edi Rama and Socialist Party officials while considering it a criminal offense.

The National Agency for Information Society emphasized that the success of e-Albania platform along with the digitalization of public services is recognized and appreciated by the whole world through international institutions such as UN, OECD, EU and US Department of State.

“e-Albania at no point stores, administers or processes citizens’ data. This is clearly shown in the portal interface as well. The data are kept and administered from the respective databases in the framework of the fulfillment of the legal obligations of their administrative institutions according to the act of creation,” AKSHI statement reads.

“e-Albania is a centralized bridge of communication between the state, business representatives and citizens. e-Albania avoids the parallel uploading of the pages of each institution in order to provide distributed electronic services, making it easier for the citizen and the business by facilitating the request for service and receiving the service. AKSHI welcomes at any time either representatives of the opposition that attacks the institution without any basis or representatives of the portals that support this attack to confront their claims,” according to the statement. //a.i/
