TIRANA, March 29/ATA/ Minister of Interior and the political leader of the Socialist Party in the Southern Gjirokastra region Bledi Çuçi said that the vaccines that Albania managed to get beyond all expectations will restore life like it was before. The mass vaccination which started on Sunday throughout the country, has also begun in the region of Korça.
In answer to questions of the citizens about the number of vaccinated people in Gjirokastra region, Minister Çuçi provided some figures from this process.
582 people have been vaccinated so far in Gjirokastra, Dropull and Libohova, while in Tepelena and Memaliaj 353 citizens have been vaccinated.
173 people were vaccinated in Përmet and Këlcyrë.
“We provided the vaccines in record time beyond expectation, we started the vaccination and we will to finish the process all over the country so that to return to life as before”, said Çuçi.
Mass vaccination started yesterday in “Skënderbej” square in central Tirana with the commitment of 88 vaccinators to perform about 1000 vaccinations, while together with the medical centers of Tirana there are expected to be performed about 3 thousand vaccinations.
Around the country, it is targeted to be carried out about 10 thousand vaccinations per day. According to the age group, based on the national vaccination plan, initially the age group +85 years and +80 years who will be vaccinated in their medical centers, while the age group +75 years and descending to +70 years, will be vaccinated in centralized vaccination centers.
Since the beginning of the vaccination process, over 65 thousand vaccinations have been carried out throughout the country. /j.p/p.s./
