TIRANA, March 11 /ATA/ –By I. Vata/ – The Central Election Commission (CEC) on Thursday sent back for revision the documentation of two electoral subjects, namely the coalition “Alliance AL” and the National Alliance party.
The decision was made by the central election body after reviewing the documentation of the candidate lists submitted by the two political subjects.
The State Election Commissioner held earlier today a public session after reviewing a series of draft decisions and decided to send back for correction the multi-name candidate lists submitted by the coalition “Alliance Al” and the National Alliance party.
Yesterday, the State Election Commissioner sent back for revision the candidate lists of six political parties.
Political parties had until the 8 of March to submit the names of the candidates racing for a seat in the Albanian parliament in the April 25 general elections.
After the lists were submitted, CEC has 48 hours to make the preliminary checkups and verify whether the necessary criteria and gender quotas have been fulfilled.
In case of irregularities, political subjects will have 48 hours to make the required corrections.
