Kosovo/Over 8,500 active cases of COVID-19

TIRANA, March 4 /ATA/ 568 positive cases of COVID-19 were reported on Wednesday, which represents the largest number of daily cases this year, yet according to the NIPHK, there will be a spike in new cases in the coming days.

Pristina alone recorded 233 positive cases with four deaths due to novel coronavirus across the country.

Despite the high number of infected cases, the Covid vaccine is nowhere to be seen although the first week of March is toward end. We recall that the Government of Kosovo had promised that vaccines would arrive in Kosovo in February.

The total number of positive cases is 70,753 out of 315,664 people suspected of being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus and 1,620 deaths.

The total number of cured cases to date is 60,628, while the number of active cases is 8,505.
