TIRANA, February 10 /ATA/ In the venues of the National Theater, there was presented the latest project for holding the “Nationwide Festival of Online Theater” which will be organized by the Ministry of Culture, the Municipality of Tirana, the National Theater and the National Experimental Theater, “Kujtim Spahivogli”.
“Theater goes on” will be the slogan of this festival in which will participate 20 theater troupes from all Albanian-speaking areas with the best performances of the repertoire of each participating theater in the last five years.
The festival will start with the first show coming to the public on February 23rd to March 14th at 7pm and will be broadcast Livestream on the official website of the National Theater and the competing theater as well.
For 20 consecutive evenings, these performances will compete with each other and at the end of this competition there will be awards of different categories such as best performance, best director, best protagonist actor, best protagonist actress, the best non-protagonist actor and actress, the career award and another important award will also be the audience award, who will vote for its favorite show.
Regarding this event and theatrical artistic life, Minister of Culture Elva Margariti said that we all want to return to the halls, but we are respecting the rules as long as we do not have a decision taken by the “Committee of Experts”. We will continue with this challenge that the pandemic allows us.”
This festival comes as a novelty and has its first edition, as it has never been organized before. This idea was born from the artistic institutions in the country, due to the limitations and impossibility of staging performances for the general public.
