TIRANA, February 4 /ATA/”After cleansing of the judiciary through the vetting, the crackdown on the corrupted judges and prosecutors should start”, stated today Prime Minister Edi Rama, while expressing his optimism that the new justice will start to function and it will be tangible by everybody.
In response to a citizen’s question about what some corrupted judges still do at work, Rama said that, “To whoever expected the new justice to do it in such a short time, this could not happen. So the system is not cleansed yet “, said the prime minister.
Further on, Rama added that, “The new institutions, the SPAK, the councils of the Prosecution, the judges have begun to structure their work. What should you expect? Miracles in just a blink of an eye. To deal with an illegal construction sometimes takes years, let alone to deal with laws and structures of a field where you found a situation like after the earthquake.”
Rama added that, “The new justice will begin to function and it will be tangible beyond those things that are happening. There are positive things happening in the meantime. When, after the purge, or in parallel with the purge, the crackdown begins on these corrupt judges and prosecutors dismissed thanks to vetting. They should face justice and give an explanation for their wealth./ r.e /p.s./
