5th day of vaccination process/Specialist Preza: No side effects

TIRANA, January 15 /ATA/ Iria Preza, specialist of the vaccination campaign “Albania smiles”, during a TV interview explained the progress of the vaccination process on its fifth day, in the premises of the stadium “Air Albania”.

“The process has been smooth today and is going on in the best way. The medical staff and support staff of the first line were presented near the premises of the stadium “Air Albania”. So, those that were planned, that were notified, appeared before the doctors, performed the vaccination and so far we have not had any side effect after the injection “, said Preza.

“There were no doctors who refused, but we had cases of contraindications. According to Pfizer guidelines, this vaccine is not given to pregnant women, people under 16 years of age, and those with defined allergies. It happened to the staff that came to be vaccinated, a few minutes ago they found out that she was pregnant and since it was a contraindication, she did not have the vaccine”, said Preza.

She stressed that, “The vaccination process is carried out to ensure protection against Covid, but always respecting all instructions, relevant rules. So in cases of contraindications, we did not carry out the vaccine.”

“The process will continue over the weekend and I want to thank in particular all vaccinators, doctors, coordinators who have been appointed to carry out vaccinations and consultations,” said Preza.

“The first days, as it was said, we started with the region of Tirana and then continuously when the other quantities of vaccine will be brought, we will continue to spread throughout Albania, in Vlora, Shkodra, to enable the vaccination of all vulnerable groups”, she continued.z.tosku / /a.a/r.e/p.s./
