PRISTINA, January 4 /ATA/ Kosovo Institute of Public Health reported of 8.176 active cases with coronavirus.
Since March 13, 2020, when the first two positive cases of COVID-19 appeared, the number of people infected with this virus in Kosovo has gone to 51 thousand 731.
42 thousand 215 people of these have recovered, but 1 thousand 340 others died due to infection with the SARS CoV2 virus.
In the latest report, the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo reported 4 deaths and 229 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. Among the victims was a 33-year-old man from Malisheva who lost his life due to infection with this virus.
During the last 24 hours, in the Laboratory of Molecular Microbiology in the Institute and private laboratories there were tested a total of 1,294 samples of which 229 cases resulted positive.
“During the last 24 hours, 363 patients have been cured, while the total number of cured people so far is a total of 42,215 cases”, is stated in the last report of the Institute./p.s./
