TIRANA, Jan 4 /ATA / Valbona valley looks enchanting in the first days of 2021 under the spell of snow which have covered the mountains and pine trees.
Transformed into an oasis of serenity and relaxation for all, at the altitude of 800 m, in these cold days Valbona has welcomed the first visitors who have immersed themselves into its beauties.
This national park is an all year round destination packed with visitors all the time, especially at this time of the year, due to the trend towards mountain tourism.
Valbona National Park represents an entire complex of stunning beauties, as are the Albanian Alps.
Here the natural beauties appear in the form of high and overlooking mountain summits with forest-covered slopes winded by the streams and the Valbona River.
Seen from above, it offers the image of a giant crater miraculously decorated with all the colors of living nature. Upon reaching the eastern border, near Shoshan, everyone is blown away by its unique landscape.
Valbona Valley was declared a National Park in January 1996. This park encompasses an area of 8000 hectares. It is portrayed as the miracle of the Alps. The valley is located 25-30 km north – west of the city of Bajram Curri, the center of the region of Tropoja.
It borders the National Park of Theth and the protected natural area of “Gashi River.” Its territory is crossed by the highway Bajram Curri-Dragobi-Valbone e Çerem.
