TIRANA, October 22/ATA/ T-bill interest rates continue to be at stable levels. At the 12-month Treasury bill auction held this week, the average yield dropped to 1.73%, from 1.74% in the previous auction.
The Bank of Albania said that the total value of the claims submitted in the auction reached 10.9 billion Lek, against an amount announced for financing of 9 billion Lek.
Yields on 12-month treasury bills had a brief growth phase between March and May, affected by the effect of the crisis eruption and strong growth in government loan demand. But in the second half of May yields began to decline, reaching 1.63% in August. /a.a//r.e/p.s./
