TIRANA, October 9 /ATA/ The works for the construction of bridges have already been completed on the Milot-Morina motorway, known as “Nation’s Road”.
The motorway of about 170 kilometers length is built according to modern standards and thanks to the investments made, the safety of movement on it is high.
According to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, although the road was officially inaugurated in 2010, the works for its construction were completed in reality in 2020.
The Milot-Morinë highway is considered as one of the most important Albanian infrastructural works, which creates opportunities not only for access to larger markets, but economically connects two countries of the same nation.
With the construction of this highway, the travel time from Durrës to Morina was reduced from 6 hours to 2 and a half hours, with a traffic speed of 80–130 km / h.
The initial cost of the four-lane highway was estimated at around 600m euros, but then it exceeded 1 billion euros.
The construction of this highway affects the increase of trade exchanges between Albania and Kosovo, but also the increase of the number of tourists. /a.gjonaj/j.p/r.e/p.s./
