TIRANA, October 5 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today that the European Union has not demanded a consensual electoral reform.
Speaking to the media immediately after approval by 97 votes in favor of the Electoral Code, Rama said that in Albania there has never been an electoral reform more all-embracing than that.
“Those who are not in the Parliament are included and everyone has been heard. Inclusion does not mean that in the end they agree 100% “, said Rama.
While regarding the question that the ambassador of the EU delegation in Tirana Luigi Soreca has requested that all changes in the Electoral Code should be made in the Political Council, Rama said that today is the vote and everything ends.
Rama stressed that today’s vote is not one-sided. “The consensus for the vote is determined by the constitution. If there are 84 votes, the Electoral Code passes, if there are 93 votes, the Constitution changes”, said Rama./a.gjonaj/p.s./
