TIRANA, October 5 /ATA/ – The Assembly approved today the amendments to the Electoral Code.
The Assembly approved with 97 votes in favor the draft law “On some changes and additions to law no. 10.019, dated 29.12.2008 “Electoral Code of the Republic of Albania”, amended “.
Based on the changes approved today, there begins the construction of the infrastructure for the April 25 elections. Thus, in the new Electoral Code are reflected the constitutional changes adopted by the Assembly in July, which opened the lists of candidates and preserved the pre-election coalitions with a single list.
The new Electoral Code stipulates that 100% of the names in the lists of parties or coalitions are subject to preferential voting./p.s./
