TIRANA, September 10/ATA/ The Regional Directorate of Road Transport Services in Shkodra will soon be a center of dignified services, thoroughly changed, compared to what it was for decades.
Prime Minister Edi Rama made the statement today during the inspection of the works for the construction of this building. Accompanying him was Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Belinda Balluku and the General Director of the Directorate Blendi Gonxhe.
“An investment which will radically transform the quality of services in this directorate where about 133 thousand services are performed per year for drivers. The intervention guarantees the reconstruction and computerization of the building, the increase of the number of parking lots and the improvement of the physical control service, the theoretical testing room of the candidates with the elements of test monitoring “, – underlined Rama.
Speaking about the promotion of online applications, Prime Minister Rama stressed that this is very important for the fact that it is a direct transformation of the citizen’s relations with the state”.
The Prime Minister announced that, “today it is enough to open the phone to make the application and get answers for the basics. By the end of December, another part of the services will be introduced and the reduction of bribes and corruption will be drastic. “Not only here in transport, but also in other services.”

Minister Balluku said that, “here we are in the totally new building of the Regional Directorate of Road Transport of Shkodra, which is one of the cities with the largest number of applications during the year, about 133 thousand citizens go to the offices.”
“We found the directorate in a very serious situation because it was located in a rented building, which was not enough to serve the citizens or to do the testing, as the part of the shed was not enough. After the decision taken by the General Directorate, the land was purchased and now we are very close to the end, where in addition to the offices that meet the delivery conditions as we want technologically, we are investing in this directorate to provide all necessary services online, for which it has long been avant-garde “, – stressed Balluku.
She promised that “we will solve the problem of archives because we can not continue to have non-automated archives so it is a job that we have started in all directories.”
General Director Blendi Gonxhe said that “we are in a region that has suffered for road transport services, as the physical control of the vehicle was done on the road, on the sidewalks. Last year, the procedure for purchasing the land was closed. It is the largest directorate in the north of the country and the fifth in Albania in terms of number, it makes all investments in networks, in the computer network, from the energy sources, the generator that will be provided, the equipment, that is, everything new. This investment is worth about 200 thousand euros.
