PRISTINA, September 8 /ATA/ – Since March 13, when the first two cases of infected were presented in Kosovo, the number of persons affected by COVID-19 has gone up to 14 thousand 204 cases.
There are 10 thousand 643 of them who have managed to recover from the corona virus. However, 568 others lost their lives due to COVID-19 infection.
According to the data of the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (NIPHK), the number of active cases is 2 thousand 993.
During the last 24 hours, NIPHK has reported 85 new cases of COVID-19, while for this period according to data, 97 people were cured.
During the last 24 hours, in the Laboratory of Molecular Microbiology in NIPHK with the method RT-PCR, were tested a total of 432 samples taken from the HUCSK and tracking of case contacts in the field, of which came out 85 positive cases. Within 24 hours, there were reported 5 deaths with SARS CoV-2 positive. The total number of positive cases is 14,204 cases out of 54,443 suspects in the SARS-CoV-2 virus and 568 deaths. During the last 24 hours, 97 patients have been cured, while the total number of cured to date is a total of 10,643 cases.
