TIRANA, August 26/ATA/- In the second quarter of 2020, according to the report on “Electricity Balance” recently published by the Albanian Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) losses in the electricity distribution network reached 311 GWh from 359 GWh decreasing by 13.4%.
Electricity transmission losses decreased by 13.4% while electricity distribution losses decreased by 13.5%, according to INSTAT.
Technical losses in electricity distribution system decreased by 12.9%, while non-technical losses in electricity distribution decreased by 14.5%, compared to the second quarter of 2019.
The Albania’s Electricity Power Distribution System Operator (OSHEE) announced that the level of losses in the electricity distribution network decreased to 45% in 2013, dropped to 21.7% at the end of 2019, while the level of revenue receipts in the energy system during this period has almost doubled, compared to 2018, electricity network losses fell by 2.2%. //a.i/
