TIRANA, July 30/ATA/ The parliamentary opposition lawmaker Rudina Hajdari stated at the today’s plenary session that, “Parliament will vote today on the open list system, and this is a historic change in the electoral process.”
In her remarks, Hajdari said that, “most of you have been sceptical, some of you did not understand the importance of open lists to Albanian citizens. But today we are voting for a historic change in the country.”
“I am proud of this cause, because from a peripheral issue, for which Albanians were not very interested and informed, along with our colleagues and a healthy section of civil society we managed to turn it into one of the most supported issues by the general public, and now this is an issue that is unreservedly supported by the entire political class,” she said. //a.i/
