TIRANA, July 30/ATA/ We congratulate the Albanian Parliament for fulfilling the Agreement of the Political Council and Bundestag request to adopt an Electoral Reform based OSCE/ODHIR recommendation and further democratize the electoral process, the rapporteur on European Affairs at the German Bundestag, Florian Hahn said.

Assembly of Albania today approved some amendments to the Constitution with 106 of votes in favour and only 10 lawmakers voted against.
The clauses 1 and 2 in articles 64 and 68 of the Albanian Constitution will be amended in order to provide open lists, granting Albanian citizens the right to choose the MP candidate and the political party they prefer, but the formula of pre-electoral coalitions will change. //a.i/
