TIRANA, July 27/ATA/- The entire fiscal and criminal amnesty procedure will be managed by one system, while the Special Unit will be composed of the best experts of the tax administration who have been previously involved in the government’s initiative for a fiscal and criminal amnesty over the years.
The head of Albania’s General Directorate of Taxation, Delina Ibrahimaj announced on Monday that, since the beginning of the drafting of the law, we have been engaged in the procedures that support its implementation, and the tasks of the tax administration in order to make the processes as easy as possible.
In her remarks, Ibrahimaj stated that, pursuant to the law, a Special Unit will be set up at the General Directorate of Taxation to manage the whole process carrying out specific tasks.
This unit will participate along with the structure of the tax administration and there will be delegated all administration experts, who have been previously involved in the government’s initiative for a fiscal and criminal amnesty over the years.
The tasks and responsibilities of the Special Unit are; the collection of information, updating and processing of data, ensuring privacy and managing data confidentiality.
Meanwhile, the Democratic Party considered the initiative on fiscal and criminal amnesty unacceptable while stating that, there will be a retroactive effect from this law. //a.i/
