TIRANA, June 24 /ATA/ -The Office of the Specialized Prosecutor in The Hague announced through a press release an indictment with ten points for review by the Court, where Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli and others are accused of a series of crimes against humanity and war crimes, including murder, illegal and forced disappearance of persons, persecution and torture.
Albania’s President Ilir Meta reacted to this indictment and said that he evaluates highly the KLA war of the people of Kosovo against the violence and genocide of the Serbian regime led by Milosevic, and believes in the innocence of President Hashim Thaçi, the former Speaker of Parliament. Kadri Veseli and their comrades-in-arms.
Meta said that, “the KLA war, which was imposed on the people of Kosovo by the oppression and genocide of the criminal regime of Milosevic, turned out to be fair and decisive, not only for the freedom and establishment of the Republic of Kosovo within internationally recognized borders, but also for the peace, stability and future of Europe and our region”.
Meta also added that, “Accusations have been made against former KLA leaders before, but their innocence and the justice of the war have been confirmed. We believe this will happen again. ”
Also, the Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Gent Cakaj reacted today regarding the lawsuit filed by the Special Prosecution on Kosovo against President Hashim Thaçi, former Speaker of Parliament, Kadri Veseli.
Cakaj in his reaction states that, “The war of Kosovo Liberation Army has been clean and fair! The KLA is not only the highest point of the historical efforts of the people of Kosovo for freedom and self-determination, but also the most glorious chapter of our national history”.
Even the Minister of State for the Diaspora and former Prime Minister during the Kosovo war Pandeli Majko reacted today regarding the lawsuit filed by the Special Prosecution of Kosovo against President Hashim Thaçi, former Speaker of Parliament Kadri Veseli.
Majko said he is on their side and that the KLA is fighting for freedom.
“The justice of the Hague Tribunal has filed charges against the leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, Hashim Thaci and Kadri Veseli,” he said.
Majko stressed that, “The KLA is a fight for freedom! The struggle for freedom is a “violation of the law.” It is the law of the aggressor over the victim. So it has been and will be! I am on the side of Hashim and Kadri “. /a.a/r.e/p.s./
