TIRANA, June 16/ATA/ Reconstruction grant program totals about $ 75 million aimed at repairing homes damaged by the November 26, 2019 earthquake, Minister of State for Reconstruction, Arben Ahmetaj announced.
In his remarks, the Minister of State for Reconstruction, Arben Ahmetaj said that, “the damage assessment process has already been completed in 7 municipalities; in Shijak, Kamza, Rrogozhina, Kurbin, Mirdita, Vora and Kavaja.”
“After the disbursement of the Reconstruction grants, 5,708 families in these municipalities whose homes have been damaged to the extent of DS1, DS2 and DS3 can benefit from the amount made available based on the damage sustained,” Ahmetaj stressed.
“The reconstruction grant program in the 7 municipalities is worth 2 billion ALL, or about 20 million dollars. In the municipality of Shijak alone, there are 1174 families beneficiaries of a grant of 5 million dollars. While in Durrës the Albanian government has made available about 24 million dollars, due to be distributed within July,” he added.//a.i/
