TIRANA, June 15/ATA/ The acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs held Monday a telephone conversation with the German Minister of State for Europe at the Federal Foreign Office, Michael Roth.
During the conversation Cakaj stressed Albania’s commitment to deliver all preconditions at first session of the Intergovernmental Conference.
“I had a great talk with German Minister of State for Europe at the Federal Foreign Office, Michael Roth. Thanked him for being a great friend of Albania and principled politician to Western Balkans. I stressed Albania’s commitment to deliver all preconditions at first session of the Intergovernmental Conference. After electoral reform agreement, Albania will focus on issues set by Council, especially justice reform.
We also talked about our cooperation against COVID-19 and agreed to have a coordinated approach on reopening borders gradually while protecting public safety and work on curbing the pandemic. Grateful to Germany invaluable support for Albania’s EU path and reconstruction process. //a.i/
