TIRANA, June 12/ATA/ Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, Gramoz Ruçi congratulated the people of Kosovo on the their liberation day, describing this historical event of great importance to stability of the region.
“Today Kosovo celebrates 21 years of liberation from Serbia. 21 years ago, on June 12, 1999, NATO troops entered Kosovo. This important military and political action was a great contribution, not only to the liberation of Kosovo, but also to the Albanian cause and to the stability and peace in the region.
On the 21st anniversary of Kosovo liberation, speaker of the Albanian Parliament, Ruçi wished Kosovo people more development and prosperity.
Ruçi expressed gratitude to NATO, the United States and the European Union, whose faith, commitment and determination in terms of values of freedom, human rights, peace and democracy will always remain crucial for liberation of Kosovo.
“NATO is the main generator of global, European and regional stability, peace and security. The future of a free and independent Kosovo is inextricably linked to its Euro-Atlantic integration and strategic partnership and cooperation with NATO, the United States and the European Union,” Ruçi said. //a.i/
