TIRANA, May 20/ATA/- Today is World Bee Day and we are proud to support one of the biggest honey producers in the Albanian market, the “Morava Honey” Farm, the European Union office in Tirana said.
Through the quality testing lab they have built with the support of IPARD programme, “Morava Honey” managed to raise their profit and enlarge the market, exporting even to the EU Member States.
The owner of “Morava Honey” Gëzim Skermo set up the honey factory in 1993. “It was a difficult project but we rose to the challenge,” he said.
“The European Union through the IPARD programme provided funding assistance to the laboratory in order to test honey for purity or economic adulteration, which helped “Morava Honey” break into foreign market,” Skermo added.//a.i/
