TIRANA, May 3 /ATA/- The National Employment and Skills Agency (AKPA) informed that in the context of emergency situation created by the COVID-19 pandemic, all employment services will be provided through distance communication, e-albania or e-mail. According to AKPA, e-Albania will facilitate communication with this institution while protecting the life of the citizen and staff from infection.
“Employment services for registration as a jobseeker will continue to be provided through e-albania. Meanwhile, for interviewing of the applicant, the means of distance communication will be used, such as telephone, email, etc. If during the process there is a need for different documents from the applicant, the latter will send them by e-mail or postal service,” AKPA says.
During the emergency situation, all persons wanting to receive “Certificate as Unemployed Employer” for the purpose of qualifying for economic assistance should not appear at the Employment Offices because under an agreement with General Directorate for Social State Service, this process will be done later by the two directorates.
Also, AKPA points out that pursuant to the CoM decision the unemployment allowance will be twice as much for those applicants who have been in the scheme or have applied to benefit unemployment allowance before March 10 and the payment is valid for a maximum period of 3 months.
