Wartime payment/ Ibrahimaj: Fund increased by 7.04 billion lekë

TIRANA, April 17/ATA/- Director General of the Tax Office Delina Ibrahimaj said that the war salary fund, based on the decision of the Council of Ministers that came out yesterday, has increased by 7.04 billion lekë.

In a television interview, Ibrahimaj explained that, “A greater number of employees are expected to benefit from this fund compared to the first fund”.

“The government decided to increase this fund after looking at the progress of the process and in fact when the first package was launched it was discussed and it was determined that following the monitoring of the labor market and economic activity there should be a second package”, she said.

So far, Ibrahimaj said 65,631 business owners have applied with a total of 120,666 employees. Among these, the requests of about 30,000 businesses have been approved with a total of 50,966 employees, while the rest have been rejected. Of course, with the completion of the application process for the first phase, which will end tomorrow, we will reaffirm all the rejected requests.

The employees, she stressed, will only benefit the war salary. And those with double employment and who have an open activity will not receive the war salary. Thus, only those employees who are included in the packages benefit from the war salary.

Through the second package, 176 thousand employees benefit.

“The categories of businesses that do not benefit from the second package are those that operate in food trade, pharmaceuticals, NGOs or free professions,” she concluded./p.s./
