TIRANA, April 15 /ATA/- Director of National Food Authority, Robert Lili, said that the teams of inspectors are on the ground every day to control any link of the food chain with view to guaranteeing food safety and protection of consumers health from COVID-19.
In a televised interview, Lili said that NFA has been on the ground from the first day of pandemic situation inspecting and monitoring agricultural markets and bakeries.
The businesses in breach of COVID-19 containment measures have been subjected to administrative measures.
“The NFA controls have also targeted businesses that offer ready meal delivery to homes. There are currently 109 entities that are licensed to offer this service. While the list is updated daily, to exercise this activity the entities receive permission from the Police Directorate, which forwards the list of these subjects to NFA “- said Lili.
