TIRANA, January 13/ATA/- Tirana will have a dignified entrance, not only from the viewpoint of infrastructure, but also aesthetically.
Following the greening of both sides of the Tirana-Durrës highway, the municipality of Tirana began planting new trees on the secondary road axis, where most businesses in the capital operate.
Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj joined the action of planting the first 100 seedlings, out of the 1,000 that will be planted in total in this segment.
The mayor called to the local businesses to join the initiative.
“In total, we shall plant about 1000 trees on each side, which will frame the secondary road of Tirana. However, there is an invitation to businesses: In all their parking spaces, indoors, yards they can help us with greenery. The principle is: for every car used by these businesses in the city, they must plant 2 trees ”, he said, adding that the initiative assumes an even more special significance for Tirana as it is not only the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of Tirana the Capital, but also OSCE Presidency./k.s/ /a.a/p.s./
