TIRANA, Jan 11 /ATA/ – By I. Vata/- The head of Socialist Movement for Integration, Monika Kryemadhi, stated on Saturday from the city of Elbasan that SMI commits itself to pressing on with electoral reform.
Concerning the opposition role, Kryemadhi said that the SMI has been active in reporting cases and from now on it will take on its responsibilities as political party.
“It is not the number of votes we care about, we are concerned about the responsibility and commitment to citizens. We have confronted our responsibilities and commit ourselves to pushing ahead with reforms.”
“Opening of accession talks is one of key priorities, not only of SMI but of 99 percent of Albanians. Bundestag and European Council have been clear about these conditions starting from approval of electoral reform as necessary to break political deadlock.”
