Next year, vetting for notaries public and bailiffs

TIRANA, December 27/ATA/-Albania’s Minister of Justice Etilda Gjonaj stated today that in 2020 there will be vetting for notaries public and bailiffs.

During a meeting with reporters, Gjonaj said that the first results of the vetting process for notaries in Albania will be released in the first quarter of 2020.

“We are conducting the vetting of notaries; there are almost 700 notaries for whom the results will come out in the first quarter of 2020. The process was postponed slightly due to the earthquake,” said the minister.

“We are conducting the vetting of the notaries, i.e. verifying their titles. We are verifying every notary how he got his license,” said Gjonaj.

But, Gjonaj added that the re-evaluation process would not only focus on notaries, but would extend to another profession, such as that of the bailiffs.

“The bailiffs will also be subject to evaluation process”, said Gjonaj./gj.mima/j.p/p.s./
