TIRANA, December 13/ATA/- Mihali Lori and Pal are 3 experienced engineers, part of the large Albanian Development Fund (ADF) team.
They have been on the ground since November 27. In Durres, they have been near residents to conduct inspections and assessments of earthquake damage and their safety.
With a digital system of each building and relevant forms, they go from house to house, to check the structures and communicate with every citizen, both technically and humanly, as there the psychological fear of a natural disaster still needs time to get away.
The three engineers have their own families to support and their sacrifice has been twofold as they leave long hours away from their children doing their job from morning till night.
In difficult places, some of the buildings still dangerous and with anxious residents, who see them as the last opportunity to address problems, the engineers are simultaneously challenging the weight of an accurate assessment of buildings and communication to appease residents.
And they will continue to be there, like all other groups scattered on the ground by the ADF, until every house is properly controlled and every citizen receives complete information./a.gjonaj/j.p/p.s./
