TIRANA, December 3/ATA/-Governor of the Bank of Albania Gent Sejko called a meeting of the general directors of the commercial banks and representatives of the Albanian Association of Banks to discuss on impact of the earthquake on the economy, financial system and the measures that the banking system needs to take.
Governor Sejko highlighted the indispensability of close cooperation among all actors so that to maximize efficiency of all sides in overcoming the situation.
The governor emphasized the commitment of the commercial banks to continue their activity offering all products and financial services.
He also asked the banks to help their clients affected by the natural disaster like application of no-commission on donation transfers.
He also suggested the banks should analyze the impact on credit situation after the quake./a.g/p.s./
