TIRANA, Nov 25 /ATA/ – By Gjergji Mima/ – PM Edi Rama called the attack of President Meta on representatives of diplomatic corps a disgrace.
At the launch of special package against Catch What You Can, Rama said: We have worked hard on this law for which I want to thank Minister of Interior and Minister of Justice as well as the task force and foreign experts. The experts of Italian Anti-Mafia have helped us every step of the way. The Israeli experts who have assisted and will continue to assist us in implementation of the law will help with the operation. I also take this opportunity to thank all representatives of international community. Representatives of structured diplomatic organization as he labels them to the shame of us all, not only his, the one who continues to serve at the office of President of the Republic. His attitude towards representatives of countries that are partners of Albania is not only a shame to us all, it is in breach of the Vienna Convention that safeguards physical integrity and dignity of every diplomat under the responsibility of the state they work in.
“We are clear about our pathway and in this process from the first to the last day, we will be 100 percent in alignment with the US and EU, not because it is their condition but it is intrinsic to state building here and for the next generations,” he said. This is the right path as is the EU integration which takes the country to the standards of the family we aspire to join one day,” Rama said.
