TIRANA, November 21/ATA/- Interior Minister Sandër Lleshaj during the presentation of the draft law “On the 2020 Budget” for the Ministry of Interior (Prefectures, Civil Status, Local Affairs) at the Committee on Legal Affairs, Public Administration and Human Rights stated that, our goal is to strengthen the role and competences of the Prefects in 2020.
“The Government of Albania (GoA) considers that the Prefect Institutions should strengthen their role in terms of relationship with the local government unit, with municipalities, in terms of planning the needs of these municipalities, in terms of auditing the units of local government,”Minister Lleshaj said.
“The Prefectures will also have an important role in coordinating the territorial branches of the central government,” he added.
In his speech, Minister Lleshaj stated that, government is also making a major investment of 40 million ALL in the reconstruction and restoration of the building of the Prefecture of Tirana.//a.i/
