TIRANA, November 21/ATA/- The Independent Qualification Commission has taken steps not to delay the vetting process by appointing an additional jury in case there is a conflict of interest.
The Independent Qualification Commission decided today on setting up a jury to consider a potential re-evaluation requested by the subject due to a conflict of interest.
The Independent Qualification Commission clarified that, “In support of the Constitution, for the transitional reassessment of judges and prosecutors in the Republic of Albania”, of the Rules of Procedure, the Commission notes that given the repeated requests of the subjects to exclude the jury due to conflict of interest, in an effort to avoid any possible delay in the process, taking into account the opinions of the international observer, the Commission considers it necessary setting up an additional jury in advance to immediately consider a possible request of this nature. “/a.g/p.s./
