TIRANA, Nov 4 /ATA/ – Agro-processing represents a good investment opportunity to increase income in the rural economy.
The Agency for the Agricultural and Rural Development announced Monday that the second call for applications for Measure 3: “Investments in physical assets concerning processing and marketing of agricultural and fishery products” under the European Union’s rural development component of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance, IPARD II grant programs.
The program provides a 50 percent grant of the total investment ranging from EUR 25,000 to EUR 2,000,000.
The call is open from October 30 until December 16, 2019 and all farmers and agro-processors can apply by submitting investment projects in the processing sector, refrigeration systems and fish markets.
