Electoral reform, Kushi: Open to every proposal based on OSCE/ODHIR

TIRANA, Oct 31 /ATA/ “ The majority is open to whatever proposal which is based on OSCE/ODHIR recommendations on electoral reform,” the SP MP, Evis Kushi, said.

In a televised studio, Kushi said the blame does not lie with the system, but the conduct of political parties and the way how they respect the Constitution and one another.

“We are open to whatever topic. The key orientation for the majority is OSCE/ODIHR. We have established working groups which will discuss the system, vote of emigrants, etc, so there’s nothing wrong with the system. As long as political parties respect the Constitution and one another, the system is fine,” she said.

According to Kushi, this type of system has had a number of advantages such as increased participation of women in politics.
