TIRANA, October 15/ATA/-The Bank of Albania (BoA) reported Tuesday that the performance of the inflation rate is mainly reflected in the exchange rate appreciation, despite the positive developments in economic activity and the labor market.
According to the official data published by the Bank of Albania, in 2019, the Albania’s annual inflation rate fell to 1.3% from 1.8% at the end of 2018 and 2.4% a year earlier. These developments have had a major impact on the shocks to agricultural prices.
Bank of Albania’s expectations remain positive both in the context of economic developments and in the context of strengthening domestic inflationary pressures in the country.
In this regard, BoA has maintained a stimulating monetary policy and promoted lending as the key factor in the growth of economy and consumption.//a.i/
